Every day, afterschool educators and administrators give their energy and talents to engage young people in social, academic, and recreational learning, and we know that well-run afterschool programs can have a tremendous impact on young people’s self-confidence and readiness to learn in school. Training & Professional DevelopmentEDC has a record of innovation in developing effective training models in collaboration with a broad range of institutional and community partners, such as national and state 4-H clubs, Foundations Inc., the National Institute on Out-of-School Time, and numerous science centers, museums, youth agencies, and schools.
