Teaching and Technology
For several decades, EDC has been a pioneer in developing, evaluating,
and implementing a wide-range of educational technology tools.
Today, a variety of EDC projects support teachers and school administrators
through
professional
development
initiatives
that
promote effective
use of technology in education. We also conduct long-term evaluations
of technology integration strategies ranging from online courses
for teachers, curriculum and assessment tools, and school-wide
reform initiatives.

provide online
professional
development for teachers. A central focus of ETLO courses
and services is preparing teachers to effectively integrate
technology into the curriculum.
Read
a story about ETLO's collaboration with the Macon Ridge

in their communities.
EDC's Center for Children and Technology (CCT) recently completed a long-term evaluation of the RETA
program. Read a summary of the CCT evaluation. (The full
evaluation is also available on the CCT site in PDF format.)
Read an article about CCT's evaluation which was published

The Star Tech professional development
program is designed to help teachers improve the performance
of students
with
diverse abilities and needs by using a variety of low-, mid-,
and high-technology tools. STAR Tech grows out of five years
of research conducted by EDC during the federally-funded Link*US
project. The Star Tech Web site provides an overview of the
program, vignettes about technology integration, and information
about how districts can access Star Tech services. |
