Strategies for Mental Health
The National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention works with more than 100 schools and communities to use proven strategies for mental health promotion and violence prevention. Through training, online learning, site visits, and peer exchange, the center assists communities as they serve diverse audiences.
Suicide Prevention
The Suicide Prevention Resource Center at EDC (SPRC) provides prevention support, training, and resources to organizations and individuals who are developing suicide prevention programs, interventions, and policies, and advancing the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.
Mental Health Services for Military Personnel
EDC collaborates with military and community partners to improve the mental health services for veterans and active service members. Our work focuses on post-traumatic stress disorder and suicide prevention.
Schools and Families Working Together
EDC helps parents and schools work together to ensure that teenagers with mental health problems receive the help they need.
Mental Health on Campus
The CampusHealthandSafety.org Web site offers administrators, students, parents, and other professionals information about helping students stay healthy and safe, both on campus and in the surrounding community. The resources emphasize a comprehensive public health-based approach to addressing alcohol and drug use, and violence, and in promoting mental health among students.
Early Childhood Programs
