EDC work is supported through grants and contracts from a number of sources including U.S. local, state, and federal agencies; international agencies; foreign governments; private foundations; universities; and corporations. EDC is a registered Private Voluntary Organization with the United States Agency for International Development. EDC has been designated by the United Nations Department of Public Information as Associated Non-Governmental Organization.

Corporate Structure

EDC’s work is organized by individually funded projects that are housed in centers and divisions. Project staff work within and across these entrepreneurial divisions and centers to address specific challenges and build multi-faceted responses. This center-based structure provides EDC with the flexibility to respond quickly to new opportunities and to meet a variety of complex challenges.
