Staff from the Urban Special Education Leadership Collaborative contributed to the development of this monograph, which discusses the severely disproportionate high school drop-out rates among American Indian, African American, and Latino males with disabilities. The authors provide an in-depth look into the specific obstacles that impede this young population from graduating, while articulating crucial changes that must be made to serve these students and improve their prospects for staying in school and accessing postsecondary education and/or employment opportunities.
