EDC Supports White House STEM Summit

EDC was contracted by the National Science Foundation to assist with the successful organization and production of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy State-Federal STEM Education Summit, held June 25–26 in Washington, D.C. The summit convened stakeholders to help inform the development of the upcoming five-year STEM Education Strategic Plan.

The summit brought together more than 200 STEM leaders from all 50 states and U.S. territories and tribes. Participants included officials from governors’ offices, K–20 educators, workforce and industry representatives, state policy experts, and NGO executives.

“We were so pleased to work with Jeff Weld at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Science Foundation, and so many other national and state STEM leaders on this successful event,” said EDC’s Abigail Jurist Levy. “We are looking forward to synthesizing the best thinking from the summit and sharing it widely.”
