EDC is leading a new higher education and job readiness project in Lebanon to build institutional capacity for greater graduate success in local, regional, and international labor markets.
USAID/Lebanon’s $10 million Higher Education Capacity Development (HECD) Program is a five-year initiative that will work with 12 higher education institutions (HEIs) to build administrative, academic, and job readiness capacity. HECD will incorporate some of EDC’s hallmark workforce development curricula, including Work Ready Now, Be Your Own Boss, and Work-Based Learning.;
“Over the next five years, HECD will strengthen the abilities of Lebanon’s universities to offer more demanded skills to graduates,” says EDC’s Bill Potter, chief of party for HECD. “We look forward to creating meaningful impact through USAID/Lebanon’s HECD Program.”
EDC will partner with Florida State University on HECD.
