Home Visiting Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network

In this paper, the authors discuss the purpose, design, and launch of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau’s first ever Home Visiting Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network (HV CoIIN). EDC launched and led the HV CoIIN for six years, using continuous quality improvement (CQI) and coaching to achieve significant improvements in home visitors’ support related to maternal depression, breastfeeding, and assessment/referral for children’s developmental delays. EDC is now leading Phase 2 of HV CoIIN—expanding the work to 25 states and territories.
