Babette Moeller, a distinguished scholar and leader in educational R&D and equity, is dedicated to ensuring that K–16 students with disabilities benefit from educational innovations and reforms. She has deep expertise in universal design, professional development, research, technology-supported programs, key factors in scale-up, and formative and summative evaluation.
Moeller leads initiatives that deepen understanding of strategies to enhance the quality and equity of STEM learning. She is the lead author of Math for All (Corwin Press), a K–5 professional development program that has significant positive effects on teacher preparedness and comfort in teaching students with disabilities, classroom practices, and students’ mathematics achievement.
Moeller is an adjunct faculty member at Bank Street College of Education and has taught courses at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education and the New School for Social Research. She is a manuscript reviewer for Educational Researcher, Journal for Educational Computing Research, and others, and reviews proposals for the National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Education.
Moeller holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the New School for Social Research.
