Dana M. Wardlaw is an award-winning instructional designer with extensive experience developing meaningful learning opportunities for practitioners working to promote health and well-being in diverse community settings.
Adept at curating and synthesizing information from multiple sources and translating complex concepts into clear and engaging content, Wardlaw has developed e-learning courses on such topics as the social determinants of health, strategic planning in substance misuse prevention, and trauma-informed care. Her e-learning courses have earned positive evaluation results, endorsements from prominent credentialing organizations, and awards for content and design excellence.
Wardlaw’s research, writing, and instructional design skills are also tapped to support the development of in-person trainings, guidance, and tools for practitioners. She played a key role in updating an in-person training and developing an accompanying school assessment tool for K–12 educators on multi-tiered systems of support for social and emotional learning and mental health.
Wardlaw holds an MA in Community and Prevention Research from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University.
