Jackie DeLisi, EDC senior research scientist, advances knowledge about STEM pedagogy and learning outcomes. She specializes in implementation research, with extensive experience in qualitative methods and survey design. Her work strengthens STEM programs in classrooms and informal settings, including initiatives focused on science and engineering practices, computational thinking, and STEM career pathways.
DeLisi is a deputy director for EDC’s GLOBE Implementation Office. She also leads an evaluation of Work-Based Learning for Computer Science. Recently, she collaborated with the Boston Plan for Excellence to examine STEM career pathways.
DeLisi was a key contributor to a National Academies report on teaching engineering in K–12 education. Her work appears in Science Educator and Journal of Research in Science Teaching.
DeLisi holds an EdD in Administration, Training, and Policy Studies from Boston University and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver.
