Meghan Broadstone, EDC research scientist and evaluator, has extensive experience in early childhood policy, qualitative research design and analysis, out-of-school time programs, and project evaluation.
Currently, Broadstone is leading the evaluation of a National Science Foundation-funded project that engages middle school and high school students with out-of-school time interdisciplinary STEM workshops and near-peer mentoring. She also provides research support for the National Center for Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE) and The Wallace Foundation-funded national landscape study of summer learning programs.
Previous projects include the OPRE-funded Child Care Collaboration Study, Partnership Impact Project, Pre-K Impact Project, and Child Care Quality Project. Broadstone led the evaluations of the National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations and the National Center on Health, as well as a study on alignment of afterschool quality initiatives for the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. She also co-edited a special issue on early care and education collaboration for Early Education and Development.
Broadstone holds a BA from Oberlin College and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Boston College.
