Bill Potter is a senior education and youth development specialist with over 30 years of domestic and international experience as both a practitioner and a senior program manager. He is currently serving as EDC’s senior project director on the USAID Higher Education Capacity Development Program in Lebanon.
Potter joined EDC is 2006 and has served as chief of party, principal technical advisor, project director, and regional representative while posted in several different countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. As a seasoned program manager, Potter has proven capacities in education and youth development program design and implementation, organizational capacity development, grants and financial management, and staff supervision.
Potter began his international development career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali and subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Science Education at Columbia Teachers College, as both a Peace Corps Fellow and International Science Foundation Fellow.
