Allison Parish, a national expert in early childhood and mental health, has expertise in home visiting, continuous improvement, and comprehensive early childhood systems. She is passionate about improving policies and services to enhance outcomes for children and families, with a focus on equity.
Parish leads EDC’s Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Technical Assistance Resource Center, which builds home visiting programs’ capacity to improve services for families nationwide. She also advises on EDC’s Home Visiting Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network.
Parish co-wrote “Statewide Implementation of Virtual Perinatal Home Visiting During COVID-19,” “Improving Intimate Partner Violence Services in Home Visiting,” and chapter 18 in Kotch’s Maternal and Child Health.
Previously, Parish was the Florida MIECHV director and chief program officer for multiple home visiting programs and the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems grant. She also worked for Florida’s Healthy Families America state system.
Parish holds a BA in Psychology, an MS in Counseling and Human Systems, and an EdS in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from Florida State University. She is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Mentor in Policy.
