Amy Brodesky is a mathematics instructional design expert and professional development specialist. She has extensive experience in elementary and middle grades mathematics education, online and blended learning, strategies to improve outcomes for students with learning disabilities, and effective methods to help teachers assess and address students’ strengths and needs.

Brodesky focuses on improving instruction for students with mathematics difficulties and disabilities by creating professional development (PD) for mathematics teachers and special educators. She has created numerous online and blended PD courses, including the Foundations for Inclusive Practice courses. She was the lead developer of an innovative PD model addressing teachers’ wide range of knowledge, needs, and interests.

Brodesky led the first national study on teachers’ and schools’ approaches and challenges related to mathematics intervention. Drawing on the findings, she co-created a blended PD course for intervention teachers and co-authored an article for principals. Previously, she was the study leader and co-author of the report Math Education Practices for Students with Disabilities and Other Struggling Learners.
Brodesky has an EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
