Amy Deal manages and provides technical assistance to comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), alternative learning programs, and communities of practice for education practitioners. She has expertise working with national governments and field staff on CSE curriculum development and training and adapting curricula to include safer learning environment topics. Her expertise includes managing technical, financial, and operational components of federal contracts.
Deal has held leadership roles on EDC’s USAID-funded work in South Africa and Liberia, the Learning through Leading Global Platform, and the Education in Conflict and Crisis Network. She supported a Hewlett Packard-funded e-learning platform for entrepreneurs and a Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts e-learning program.
Deal served in the Peace Corps and holds a BA and MA in Sociology, with a focus on community and economic development.
