Cindy Hoisington, a nationally recognized early childhood education expert, is a skilled professional developer and instructional designer. She leads initiatives that provide children from historically marginalized communities with rich early learning experiences and empower families with authentic science, STEM, play, and language resources.
Hoisington reviews, advises, and evaluates PBS Ready to Learn digital media. She also designs and develops science, STEM, and computational thinking curriculum for pre-K–grade 4. She led professional development and instructional design on Literacy and Academic Success for English Learners through Science and directs the Foundations of Science Literacy project Supporting Science Inquiry, Interest, and STEM Thinking for Young Dual Language Learners.
A published author, Hoisington has reviewed, advised, and written for educational media, including Curious George, Peep and the Big Wide World, and The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That! She co-facilitates the NAEYC’s Early Childhood Science Interest Forum and advises on STEMIE.
Hoisington received a BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts and an MEd from Bridgewater State College and did post-graduate work in STEM Leadership.
