Hannah Douglas, EDC training and technical assistance associate, is an expert in early childhood education, infant and toddler development, and high-quality early learning environments. An experienced trainer and coach, she designs and delivers engaging, effective professional development experiences for early learning professionals.
For EDC’s Center for Early Learning Professionals, Douglas supports childcare programs and providers across Rhode Island. She specializes in partnering with providers to improve the quality of programs that serve infants and toddlers. She develops and leads courses on topics such as instructional design, the Infant and Toddler Environment Rating Scale, family engagement, special education, and responsive caregiving.
Previously, Douglas was a data coach and adjunct faculty member. For 10 years as a Child Development Associate® (CDA) professional development specialist, she mentored professionals seeking to attain their CDA credentials. She began her career as a Head Start teacher.
Douglas holds an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She received an MA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
