Jason H. Padgett is a nationally recognized suicide prevention expert, an experienced program leader, and a highly skilled training and technical assistance provider. Drawing on his subject matter and business systems expertise, he serves as the operations director for U.S.-based health, mental health, and behavioral health work and is a lead product developer.
Padgett oversees finance, human resources, and business development systems and strategy. He advances the work of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center and formerly played a key role for the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. He has led the development of and contributed to over 20 nationally significant documents, including the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.
Nationwide, Padgett has trained thousands of people on suicide risk, suicide prevention and postvention, mental health promotion, strategic planning, and advocacy. Previously, he worked for national suicide prevention organizations SPAN USA and AFSP.
Padgett holds an MSM in Project Management from Kaplan University, an MPA from the University of Kentucky, and a BS in Psychology from University of the Cumberlands. He has a PMD Pro certification (project management).
