A skilled manager, Jill Jarvi is experienced in organizational development and capacity strengthening, strategic planning, project design and management, outreach, and communications. Her sector experience includes positive youth development, education reform, independent media strengthening, and civil society development.
Jarvi is the chief of party (COP) for the USAID Philippines Opportunity 2.0 activity. Previously, she was the COP for the USAID-funded General Education Activity (TABLA) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Strengthening Media Systems project in Serbia, Partnerships with Youth project in the West Bank, and the Civil Society Support project in Egypt.
Jarvi has over 25 years of project management and international development experience in environments of conflict and political transition, including providing technical and managerial support for the Egypt Media Development Program during the Egyptian revolution, overseeing multi-million dollar projects to support and strengthen independent media in the post-war countries of the former Yugoslavia, and facilitating training and professional development opportunities for experts in various fields following the break-up of the Soviet Union.
Jarvi has an MA in International Affairs and a BA in Russian Language and Literature.
