Kimberly Elliott, communications director for EDC’s U.S. Division, is a highly skilled nonprofit leader with 20 years of experience in strategic storytelling. She designs, leads, and advises successful content marketing, communications, and product development initiatives. As an EDC grant reviewer and writer, she has helped secure dozens of multimillion-dollar, multi-year grants and contracts. Her interests include data visualization, asset-based framing, and plain language.
As a member of the U.S. Division’s leadership team and management team, Elliott contributes to division strategy, systems, and supports for staff. For EDC’s corporate Communications team, she collaborates on campaigns, advances story mining, and advises on brand initiatives.
Elliott is the co-author of Teacher Leader Stories: The Power of Case Methods (Corwin) and many other publications. Before joining EDC, she led a woman-owned small business. Earlier in her career, she held communications and business development positions at Wheelock College, where she worked to improve the quality of childcare.
Elliott holds a BA in English from the University of New Hampshire and received her PMD Pro Certification as a project manager from APMG International.
