Lucy Nelson, an educational technology researcher, evaluates media and digital resources that support early childhood education, at-home learning, and school readiness.
Nelson is experienced in project facilitation and monitoring, data management, external communication, and qualitative data analysis. She also has expertise in designing, implementing, and managing studies that rely on text messaging to communicate with large numbers of study participants and increase study engagement. She is especially interested in equitable access to education, specifically at the preschool and elementary levels, and how educational technology and media can close the learning gap.
Nelson earned her BA in International Development from McGill University.
