Rebecca Lewis is a national and international leader in STEM education and workforce development. For decades, she has designed and led initiatives that successfully foster STEM proficiency and create pathways to STEM careers for youth and adults. She specializes in engaging leaders from STEM industries, corporations, schools, and communities in strong and effective partnerships to improve students’ outcomes.
As EDC’s director of the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Implementation Office (GIO), funded by NASA, Lewis leads a large team focused on GLOBE community engagement and support worldwide. She also oversees EDC’s Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Program Office and contributes to strategic planning, business development, and government affairs for EDC’s U.S. Division.
Previously, Lewis co-led the Ford Motor Company-funded Ford PAS project, a comprehensive community-wide high school reform strategy that fused classroom and career opportunities. She has worked with schools, districts, corporate funders, and community-based partners throughout her tenure at EDC.
Lewis holds an MAT in Biology from Northeastern University, a CAES from Boston College, and a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
