Rebecca Timmen, a skilled technical assistance specialist and program director, is an expert in early childhood health promotion and project management. She brings a deep knowledge of health and mental health, program development, systems integration, and cross-sector collaboration. She specializes in using a collective impact design to bridge health care and early learning programs and to establish early childhood comprehensive systems to support children’s developmental growth.

Timmen is the director of training and technical assistance for EDC’s National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety (NCHBHS). In this role, she represents NCHBHS on the Office of Head Start (OHS) Integrated Service Team, which collaborates with other national centers and region leaders to provide professional development for Head Start staff nationwide.

Prior to joining EDC, Timmen served as the OHS Region 10 health specialist in the Head Start Regional TTA network. Drawing on a strengths-based approach to connecting systems, aligning goals, and building capacity, she facilitated effective change to improve child and family health outcomes.

Timmen holds a BS in Community Health from Western Washington University.
