Sarena Dacus, an EDC senior training and technical assistance (TTA) associate, is an expert in maternal and child health, early childhood education (ECE), and family support. She brings 20 years of experience in providing training and consultation to improve public health systems’ service delivery; organizational development; program evaluation; collaboration; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Dacus provides TTA on health equity, health services management, health literacy, and family and community engagement for the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety. She is a national consultant, trainer, and coach focused on supporting the growth and development of ECE professionals and community-based programs.

Dacus is the coach for Cohort 5 of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Clinical Scholars program. She is the vice president of the board of directors for the Women’s Fund of Omaha and serves on the leadership team for the I Be Black Girl collective.

Dacus holds an MPH from University of Nebraska Medical Center and a BA in Psychology from St. Louis University. She is a certified parent educator through Parents as Teachers.
