Silvia LaVita, an experienced project associate, provides high-quality support to advance the goals of EDC’s K–12 STEM education initiatives. She has a versatile skill set, ranging from project management to graphics creation.
LaVita provides overall coordination for the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Program Office and assists the project director in managing program site operations and data for a global community of program sites across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Earlier in her career at EDC, she worked on multiple projects funded by the National Science Foundation, including providing graphic design, coordination, event management, and communications support for CADRE (Community for Advancing Discovery Research in Education).
LaVita holds a BA in International Culture and Economy (with a minor in Italian) from Bentley University. She also holds a certificate in Internet Systems Management from Bentley University and a certificate in Desktop Publishing and Graphics from Middlesex Community College. LaVita is fully proficient in Italian and fluent in English. She studied abroad at Istituto Lorenzo de’Medici in Florence, Italy and L’Universita’ per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy.
